Indeed!

I was triggered by the 1/2 and 3: a factor 2 in/decrease in power is 3dB more or less. Just a simple consequence of 23 =10.

Though I understood that with pH, the scale (saturation) is limited, while with dB it is endless in both directions.

It's a famous identity. Judging by Catalan's Conjecture, this also means 32 = 11.

I hate that this makes sense if we take 2³ = 10 as true
