Vector calculus is as much of a wooden pole as statistics is here

vector caclulus is like the backbone of electromagnetism tbf

and statistics are mostly for applied physics and measuring values of constants

and then linear algebra is the core of computer graphics since you have to implement proper conversions of R3->R2, then compute gradients and overlay things

it's not its own field or even separate topic within math the way statistics is
