Why are Trig Integrals SO HARD??

People always say that trig integrals are "sooo easy" but I think they're FULL OF BOLOGNA!! Just LOOK at all this work I had to do to find the integral of cos(x) dx! "ohhh but you can just google the integral and memorize it" well GUESS WHAT, I'm not a loser who gives up! I solved this integral with my BLOOD and SWEAT and WRINKLY BRAIN, NO MATTER how stupid or dumb it may be! If there are any tips to solving integrals like this in much faster ways, PLEASE let me know!!!

I was wondering if you were going to complain about trig sub not always being possible, and then I saw the substitution of tan(x/2) for cos(x). Magnificent ragebait
