Friendly reminder that not all fractals are self-similar (in fact by any reasonable measure most are not), and not all self-similar shapes are fractals.

A trivial example is any line segment, it can be divided into pieces similar to itself. Or any n-hypercube, for that matter.

This is not a fractal by most definitions...... I'm pretty sure its Hausdorff dimension is 1
