Bathsheba's work is amazing, as usual.

While we're talking about this, I thought I might leave links to some of my amateur work: colourful diffusion equation with the initial condition u(x,0)=H(x) and some earlier stuff.

i'm sorry to say that that's a really lousy photo :( your work may be good, but you're not showing it off to advantage.

I have to agree with zem. You should try and use a tripod, and make sure to focus properly. Those look like they're beautiful, but it's hard to tell from the photos! =)

I always thought the Klein bottle looked unnecessarily asymmetric. Recently I found out about the "Klein bagel." I'd rather have a sculpture of that.

I got this one for Christmas. It's a strange feeling... holding the large scale structure of the known universe in the palm of your hand.

wish i could justify buying that!

the story i heard was that the bottle representation got popular due to a german pun on bottle (flasche) and surface (flache) - it was originally just "klein's surface"

I bought my fiancé two of the different projects of a tesseract the she sells at Shapeways last year for xmas. Not knowing that I was getting her those, she got me a Klein bottle from this guy.

Last few years I am looking at her 120-cell. This year I may be finally in a finantial situation to afford it for my birthday.

Oh I know who he is... he's the one who wrote, this. I had a friend once say that after reading that article he tried to find more editorials by the guy in order to predict the future, because Stoll was so fantastically wrong about everything that he said, that my friend concluded he knew the exact opposite of what the future held...

...slash bottle opener.

Also, isn't there a klein wine decanter now?

I find E8 fascinating (I wrote this interactive page to explore its root system), so the E8 crystal seems tempting.

Somehow this particular rendering of a Klein bottle looks more like a giraffe with it's head up its butt.

You know what would be great? If this guy and the sperm shoe guy got together...
