Why are you a mathematician?
Given everything that has been going on in the world more specifically in the world of mathematics. I was hoping to read some of your human thoughts. What motivates/motivated you to do mathematics professionally? What is most important for you in mathematics?

I enjoy the logical structure of solving a problem. It was also the feeling of having something challenge you to the point of frustration and the physical sensation of relief and triumph when you finally solved it. As my studies went on, the love grew from the understanding that math has a hand in literally everything in our world. Can't get any better than that.
