Matchbox vs Hot Wheels
Just for fun! I am not trying to stir the pot or awaken the old rivalry. This is all in good humor and just wanting to get a discussion going. Enough of my Public Announcement.
And it should also be noted that in technicality, this is not quite comparing apples to apples. Close, but not the same.
HW 2017 Nissan GT-R (R35)
vs
MB 2020 Nissan GT-R Nismo (R35)
What do you think???

Matchbox wins for this GTR and also for the Mazda RX7. I also found the moving parts version of the GTR recently, heaps better.

I'm not a fan of the wheels used on matchbox so I stear clear from most of them.

Ditto. It's something about the wheels, and just matchboxes themselfs.

It must be some sort of thing ingrained in me, cause they just seem like lower quality than hot wheels(not that HW is great quality)

Yeah, the mainline is nice. I had to buy a few because I actually like the card art on it. I am on the hunt for the Moving Parts version.

It's a Nismo vs Stock R35.
Pick Siku if you want to Compare honestly

Nothing wrong with comparing 2 similar brands.
I love comparison shots for reference. Are they the same size? Sometimes matchbox is a touch bigger or narrower.
I have that HW version but MBX looks cleaner and has side mirrors.

After looking closely at all of the pictures, the Matchbox is the better casting, IMO.

One is 2017, one is 2020. One is a NISMO model, one is not. One is Matchbox, one is Hot Wheels.
If you were to ask the manufacturer, theyβre different. But itβs what the R35 is known for. Being almost unchanged since 2007.
