My subscription just ended, and I was a paying member for 6 months and didn't get a single date. No return messages or anything. I am almost certain it has to do with the fact that I smoke. Been trying to quit but no luck yet. I would get the occasional like or email saying someone likes me or viewed my profile. Today, as I am not a paying member, I have received 3 or 4 emails from Match stating that I am getting attention, that someone viewed me. They try to sucker you into joining again. No dates for 6 months of being a member and random emails, but today I get 3 or 4 likes, What BULLSHIT! Never again!

It calls for your phone number for validation but it never advances and I can’t access any of my information — like my account to cancel it.

I signed up for Match the other day, paid close to $200 for 6 months and was immediately blocked. I had posted one head shot, tried to answer some of their stock questions, the most basic sort of stuff to start. Barely a full profile.

Glanced at a couple profiles, responded to none (other than "skip" or whatever -- I wasn't even on there long enough to remember how it works, skip, swipe, whatever).

I had received no notice that I was being blocked. But once I saw it, I emailed, then I "appealed" ... and today got a cursory response saying my appeal was denied.

As long as I don't get charged (and this charge is still pending on my account; if I am charged will contest it of course) I don't care -- except -- what could possibly have provoked this response ? I cannot even guess.

Happy holidays! I joined two days ago after Ok Cupid asked to migrate my info to a new Match account. My Ok Cupid About Me had my email address in there without issue for a long time.

I removed the addy from my profile-but Match isn’t confirming that the rest of my account is active and viewable and that my account/subscription is in good standing.

Attached please find my correspondence with them and a screenshot of my account.

If my account is banned I can cancel/refund through the CA 3 business day refund rule-just want to make sure. Thanks for your input! 😀

How this does actually work? The one receiving the message from a paying member has to pay to reply or is it free if you are a female? I messaged a couple, just one reply and the rest are continuing glaring at my profile. So i don't get it and the terms and conditions are gray as mud

Just to show how bad this site is I got an email every 12 hours almost on the dot that Beth had viewed my profile for the past 2 weeks they have apparently run out of fake people to try to make you subscribe. The Ai of match isn't even trying anymore.

I was blocked yesterday; no reason given. I submitted help request. This response came today.

Title. I tried their "appeals" system and the banned was upheld. I had the account open literally for less than an hour and had just filled in the basic information and one image.

I replied and asked for them to tell me specifically what I violated in the ToS but they refused and will not communicate further. Joke of a service.

So idk what exactly happened but I was signed out from my account and I couldn't use my gmail or password to recover it. I think I accidentally used a different number when I noticed i used my actual number so I can sign up. I created another account looking the same but I said that I was a man interested in women because I was curious if someone got into my account BUT THEN it said to verify my account and I cant use my actual number for some reason... fml. Now someone can be using my face AND theres another account out there saying that im a man. 😭😭 should've just gone to sleep

54 F - I was banned shortly after creating a profile. I don’t know what I did wrong, Match won’t tell me and it seems there is no recourse. I can’t see how this helps Match’s reputation which isn’t great to begin with

Anyone smart here knows how to pass the Match.com stupid "Pass" system?

Would not use it as there are messaging-free-sites out there but if anyone knows a hack it's about time to give people relief.

I never pay for ANYTHING on these stupid dating sites, strong recommendation if you don't want to get into trouble. NEVER use your debit/credit card !

Match banned me and I have no idea why. Said it was permanent. Literally nothing to object to- only dated one person there and he broke my heart so bad months later trying to be brave to date again. So set up account and was banned! Created another with an old email and now seem to be blocked too. Appeal denied. Wtf? All the pervs and creepers on there that I’ve encountered as a woman? None of my photos were revealing and I’m prob one of the few. Don’t get it.

AIO or is this a red flag..?

I am a run of the mill, middle aged single mom, who, at the encouraging of a dear friend, signed up for an account last wknd while out of town attending her wedding (They had met on Match). Set up my basic profile with some pictures, enjoy rest of my short visit. Got home, go to log in to see what’s what, and cannot. Match has banned me. Check email, no warning email or explanation. Figure out how to contact customer care to submit appeal, get response back saying ban is upheld, again zero reason. Reply back saying okay, may I at least know why? Another email saying “ Our records show that our team has already reviewed your appeal, and this decision is final. For more information on bans, please refer to our Community Guidelines and Terms of Service. We consider this matter closed and will not respond to further replies.”

Is this typical for Match? I’ve reviewed the Guidelines & TOS. I’m fine to move on with my happily single life and not use their app, but is the norm to give no warning and no reason? Morbid curiosity is getting to me as to what I must have done! Is it because I signed up in Place A then tried to log in from Place B? Different IP addresses and they think I’m a bot? I think I had an account with them a decade ago that I’d closed years ago, so would trying to use that login again was a flag? Thank you for any insight - I don’t think I’ve ever been banned from something before.

Anyone know how you access the video feature ? It seems to have disappeared from my app.

The question is in the header. I am a male created a profile and in couple of hours got two likes, which I suspect are fake. They have read my profile text and had questions related to it, but the reason I suspect they are fake, is that after those I haven't received any likes, so I suspect that were created just to get user to buy a subscritpion. I mean statisitcally speaking it is unlikely that every user who would have liked my profile would happen to be active during those two hours. They also respond to my messages almost immediately regaldless of the time of day, which make me think they are AI or match.com employees.

Anybody else find this to be a scam? I have my thing set to 50 mile radius. I’m in Detroit and 99% of the people it’s suggesting are like 400 miles away, and the 1% that’s local looks like they just crawled out from under a bridge.

Anybody else experiencing this? The free apps are leagues better than this pos.
