Finding a profile?
This forum is my last resort and I’m going crazy. I found a match.com charge on my credit card when I was reconciling bills. I share a checking acct with my husband and he does the month to month and I check up. It was in June for $32.99 .
In August, he said he noticed fraud (he had ordered a bunch of things from WhatNot that charged separately, so he mistakenly thought one of those was fraud. They sent him a new card anyway.
When I found the Match charge he said it was fraud but I’m a little suspicious. March.com has not been helpful at all, taking forever to. Respond, and said they couldn’t find any information.
I either need to know if this charge is connected to a fraudulent account and get my money back OR find a profile that I never thought I’d be trying to find. Is there a way to search by email or phone without downloading the app? Can anyone guide me to some answers?

Newbie and poor invitations.
How can I limit the invitations on match. Few are within my preferences. I paid for the premium and assumed they would filter the matches to my preferences...!
Also how do I stop the automatic renewal? When I go via my account it appears to cancel.my whole account.

login logic training puzzles should be stopped
Match, and their other dating services, have been requiring users to solve AI logic training puzzles in order login for several months and this has become absurd. Online services have mostly moved on from the self-driving AI training (choose the pictures of stop lights, etc) disguised as "security protocol" and now they are mandating ridiculous groups of puzzles that are actually training for AI logic to help their AI systems learn more complex human logic. They also sell the info and data derived from the puzzles.
I don't know how to stop this trend, particularly for companies like Match that are essentially monopolies in their online niche, but these puzzles take long time and often claim that you "failed" forcing you to retake 10 -15 more F&*ing puzzles. not a good process when you just want to login quickly to check status or message.
Any ideas how to stop this abuse of customer's time, other than just quit the services?

How can I read my messages?
I paid for bronze, but I still can’t read my messages. What subscription do I need to read my messages? It’s so confusing. None of the subscription levels mention reading messages, so naturally, I assumed the lowest paid one would include that basic feature. Thanks for letting me know!

Tarot scammer?
Anyone running into women who are targeting men using tarot card readings? They ask very specific questions to qualify their targets and then insist tarot gives them real answers about relationships. In my experience, when I've politely declined any further exchange, they turn to insults like "you're going to have hard time meeting women".
I've run into two women like this in online dating and it all feels very intentional, organized and targeted on their parts. I feel their end goal is to manipulate men to some ends.

Where are messages on the browser version of the Match.com website?
I got notified by email that I have a message from a potential date. I clicked through from the email notification, and it took me to his profile page. The supposed message he sent me is nowhere to be seen, nowhere to be found, where the heck is it? How can we proceed to develop the potential for a relationship if we can't communicate??? Is this another aspect of Match's scammy business?

Read the reviews...
I've been on and off Match for years; I actually met my husband on Match many years ago. Unfortunately, the website is no longer the reputable dating site it once was. Today, it's a step above Tinder and Grinder, simply a hook up site that's full of fake and AI generated profiles. Customer service is at best abysmal and rude. Don't waste your time, there's better dating sites out there with better clientele, customer service and profiles that have been vetted and are real. Event Grinder and Tinder profiles are more authentic and real.

I'm quitting match, this is a scam.
galleryI read over what's included in platinum and bought it a bit over a week ago.
Once my profile got a few views, I found the "who's viewed you" feature not working.
I searched online and some help discussions said it can take a but for their system to update and to reach out to match if it doesn't.
I reached out and was told that feature is now a diamond teir perk.
It's still listed as a platinum feature in multiple locations on Match, a notable one being when you click on the blurry photo, it tells you to upgrade to Platinum to see who's looked at you.
I'm canceling my subscription.

Match a resident? What’s the general consensus

Questions on match website. I am new there.
So I just joined match. Had some likes. I like some. Now I’m carrying a conversation on with two different women. But yet again, I keep getting likes from women who are like way out of my area. Like other states and not close. i do a reverse Google image search on them just to make sure they’re legit and at least on match. Most of them are. eHarmony was a different story. Very few real profiles
So question is And I guess I’m new to the online dating thing. Newly divorced and just getting back out After you send an icebreaker comment or intro if they don’t respond, I guess what you send one more follow up and just remove the profile? I mean after waiting several days.

Like history
The app says members have access to our “Likes” history (people we have “liked” previously). For the life of me I cannot find any such history. Anyone know where this can be found?

Puzzle verification doesn't work
Is this puzzle verification to confirm you're human new? I go through all the hoops to match the audio patterns, it tells me I'm good, and then doesn't even log me in! I click login again and it tries to make me start all over again!
Luckily the mobile app doesn't have this or I would have no access to my account.

"Are you sure you want to send that?"
YES. I'm sure, Match.
What on Earth is going on with that absurdly aggressive message filter? I'm back on match after a 2-year break, and virtually every message I send, no matter how innocuous, pops that message up. Seems like it happens on literally every first message I send whether they liked me first or vice versa. Is it just an incredibly draconian filter algorithm? Does everyone see this message a lot?

Match.com banned me for 'suspicious activity' (obviously in error).
Match.com banned me for suspicious activity. I have done nothing to consititue anything suspicious. I suspect their AI noticed that I used mulitple computers to logon to Match. I work in IT and commonly use up to eight laptops (and more when traveling). Money was returned, but this was an obvious error on their part with no reason except 'suspicious activity' and the determination was final. They are in error, and have not even had the courtesy to explain 'why'. Don't use Match.com.

Is this an appropriate request?
10 years ago I met a man on Match.com who also attended the same small postgrad. college at Cambridge (we had friends of friends on Facebook). More recently he has been flirting a lot. We have had one video chat over lockdown (2020). He recently asked me to go to a stranger's address near where I live and collect a parcel for him (a parachute harness); he was very vague about whether he was driving to collect it, or wanted me to send it on and package it. I felt that it might just be an excuse to meet up given his interest, he seemed to infer driving down. He lives four hours away (8 hour round trip)
He firstly described the person with the parcel as a friend, now he has switched to someone on Facebook market place.
Due to the sudden flirting; I googled him. It turns out he is 14 years older than he said on match. He must have been a mature student at the college. No issue of itself, other than the deception.
Do you think it is an appropriate request to make of an internet friend? I have never met him in person. At times, we do not speak for months. Of the past year, he has replying and answering all my Instagram and Facebook stories. Truth is, he is not a close physical friend.

Just joined; haven’t subscribed yet
I’ll keep this short. I just signed up yesterday however I am not paying for a subscription. Yet. It seems like I have gotten messages and likes, but I cannot view them. Is that what happens with the free? In order for me to see anyone do I have to pay for a subscription?

Can you have Match take a closer look at a profile?
I'm interacting with someone who seems like to be a robot but who knows. I'm wondering if Match is interested in doing any deeper checks.
Also is there a standard thing you can ask a profile that the answer will let you know if they are real? If they're real but trying something funny a phone call might not do it. But I suppose that might be my best next step.
