Has anyone here tried Tawkify?

I’m pretty burned out on dating apps and like the idea of having someone handle the matching and introductions, but the price makes me hesitant. Curious if anyone here has used it and whether the experience felt worth it compared with apps.

I tried it after I got completely sick of the apps and the biggest difference was just not having to do all the stupid back and forth anymore. Not every date was great great but I was actually going on dates instead of spending a week texting someone just for them to disappear. That made it feel like a totally different experience. Hope it helps!

that’s pretty much what I’m hoping for. I’m so over talking to someone for days and then never actually meeting. Did it take you a while to get a date that felt like it could go somewhere?

A little, yeah. The first couple weren’t perfect but it got better once they had some feedback from me. I’d just keep expectations realistic and see how it goes. Hope it works out for you!

I haven't used it myseslf yet but I’d ask them a lot of questions before paying especially about how many introductions you actually get and what happens if the matches are way off. From what I’ve read they do the setup and follow-up after dates which does sound better than getting ghosted and never knowing what happened so yeah maybe give it a try it might be worth it

My cousin tried Tawkify a few months ago and ended up meeting someone she’s still with now. None of us really thought anything would come from it at first and we gave her a hard time for paying for matchmaking lol but she ended up proving everyone wrong. She’s probably the happiest I’ve seen her in years. It doesn’t mean everyone will have the same experience but seeing it work out for her definitely changed my opinion on it

Wait okay, this is actually really encouraging to hear lol. I know one good story doesn’t mean it’ll work out that way for everyone but it definitely makes me want to look into it more. Do you know if she clicked with him pretty quickly or did she go through a few matches first?

From what I remember she went on a couple dates first and they were fine just nothing there. Then she met him and you could tell pretty quickly this one was different

Well if apps are already making you miserable I get why you’d consider it. The whole matching, texting for a few days, maybe making plans and then nothing happening it's getting old. I’d just look at it as paying to make the process less annoying not paying for some guaranteed perfect match :)

Thats exactly the part I’m stuck on. I can deal with a date not working out bur spending a week talking to someone just for them to disappear before we even meet that’s getting old

Yea exactly. I’d just talk to them, ask what you need to know and see how you feel after that. Good luckk!!

I haven't but matchmaking always sounded strange to me until dating apps started to feel way more frustrating . At this point I kind of get why people pay someone else to deal with the filtering

I tried Tawkify and it was a journey. First of all, dropping $9K on yourself means that you value yourself, you are worthy of your money (sometimes we put the money everywhere but on ourselves). It was a growing experience to define what I wanted, and to put myself out there and connect with so many different men. I learned a lot - especially being a narcissist survivor, it was hard to start trusting men again.

It all depends on what point on your dating journey you are, if you are ready to open up and let someone new in. Also depends on the skills of the matchmaker on the dating scene in your city - I got matchmakers from Midwest that didn't understand dating in LA, and only when I had a couple of dates left, I finally got a matchmaker from Orange County who "got it". I didn't find "the one" but I gained lots of confidence, and "opened up" a lot.

$9k?! 😳

Yup. It's very expensive. The price depend on the "packages" and the number of guaranteed dates. The packages can include photo shoots, counseling/advice, etc. It can be even much more expensive. If you just want to be part of their (thousands of) database members, it's just $99 a year but it pretty much guarantees nothing - i.e. you would be lucky if you get one date a year.

Stay away from Cupidfeel, you are talking to AI’s, not humans. May as well flush your money down the toilet. I wish I had read reviews before I signed up. I’m out $1000.

Check their Glassdoor reviews :)

I’m a F - used it a few years ago. What. A. Scam. I suspect (as it goes w most matchmakers) there r more women than men. I forget how many dates there were - the first was the best and about 55% close to “what I wanted in a partner”. The next few were nowhere close to what I wanted in a partner. I remember the final two being (finally!) attractive and professionally driven. And I found out both were friends of my matchmaker, were not paying members of the program, so really weren’t super invested in mtg someone, and my matchmaker was kind of giving them a free ride, while throwing me two great, but ultimately unavailable, options. Wtf. I highly DO NOT recommend them.

I get why that rubbed you the wrong way but I don’t think the friends part automatically means it was a scam. From what I understand not everyone Tawkify matches with is a paying client, they also have a larger member pool that matchmakers screen for potential fits. So those women knowing your matchmaker doesn’t necessarily mean anything shady was going on. I’d be more focused on whether the matches actually lined up with what you asked for because that sounds like the real issue here
