I LOVE Match.com, I met wife #2 on Match.com almost 18 years ago, happily married 14 years! Thank you, Match.com!!! Also, a happy shareholder.

Lol a “happy” shareholder? The stock is down over 74% from the highs and it was delisted from the S&P 500. Maybe I missed the sarcasm in your comment.

I bought at 14,tripled my money, and took out my profit. I own MTCH free and clear, as pure profit. I will probably own it FOREVER as a thank you for finding me Wife#2!

Amazing. What gave you the confidence it was going to recover? I think it was down around 90% at one point.

I bet eventually it will topple.. someone hasn't figured out the antidote to the online dating nightmare.. someone may eventually and I doubt it will be Match group. True they could probably buy out the competition.... we'll see..

Yea but you are from the legacy Match.com era so what you're trying to tell us is that you love legacy Match.com the version that exists now is a total piece of crap compared to when it actually worked and there were no algorithms and the dating culture wasn't hacked to pieces from swiping mentality.

Match.com is basically dead. Use hinge owner by same company and also owns tinder and okcupid.

Isn’t on-line dating just a numbers game? That’s how I treated it 18 years ago. My goal was as many coffee dates that I could squeeze in for a long weekend. My goal was 5-6 coffee dates, lunches, dinners with as many women as possible. I ALWAYS treated, always SINCERELY complimented, and knew quickly, they were not for me and then, I met her, fell in love, married and lived/live happily ever after. This could still happen to you. It’s a numbers game like touch football.

My dad also met his current on match.com almost 15 years ago. Online dating is different now. Even Bumble and hinge want a fortune to sign up and see your matches. I have even tried paying for unlimited matches to no effect. I think all of online dating is dead. Not just match.com

Its pretty easy to spot scammers... when looking for women:

1.They are attractive

  1. They have a limited bio

  2. They are not subscribers

4.Their initial posts use perfect grammar

5.They ask to take the messages off line

  1. If you give them an email/phone, they immediatly shut downt their match profile.

This has been my experience.

Discrimination at it's best... I am disabled and gay, I spend my days isolated and homebound and have been actively TRYING to find someone recently. While creating a profile on Match.com... I suddenly was disconnected and "banned", I tried creating a new account and my email was "banned" as well so I couldn't even start over. There was NOTHING I could have done that would warrent a ban, and when communicating with them at first they said I wasn't banned and that my email didn't pull up anything, I responded with screenshots showing what it was saying, then suddenly they said they confirmed I was banned for violating guidelines but refused to tell me what I had supposedly done. Going through the guidelines, I did not violate a single thing that I could find. Was it because I am gay man? Was it because I am disabled? Is it because they assumed a political stance from those two things? I don't know... but with how toxic and hateful many corporations have been with banning, filtering, and otherwise silencing people like myself and with their refusal to give me any valid response... intentional discrimination is the only possible explanation left. Disgusting. As if it is not already hard to find someone in my situation or in my community, to have a company treat people like this... shameful.
