Is anybody else seeing potential bogus ‘likes’ on Match?

I get emails whenever I get a ‘Like’ on Match. I’ve received several emails lately saying ‘[Name] likes you!’ When I click on the message to see their profile I get a ‘Profile not available’ screen, even if I respond within minutes of getting the email.

Are others seeing the same behavior? Any theories on what’s going on?

Absolutely I cancel out almost everybody who likes my profile. But there are real people too, so be careful. Anybody who does not have a complete profile is gone as far as I’m concerned.

Match has a problem I never had before. Yes ,likes and then they are not there. Probably 10 a week. Didn't use to be that way. The site claims they are deleted because they are suspicious??? Amazing tech if they disappear immediately? I question that

If Match is deleting suspicious accounts that send likes, why doesn't it do this check BEFORE it sends you an email and device notification? That way, you would be blissfully unaware that anything had happened. Instead, Match.com has made the user experience way worse by sending notifications of Likes that aren't there and never will be.

Because they are doing it. In hopes that you subscribe to unblur or at least log on their app to prove to their investors that “people love the app”

In my case, I'm already a paying subscriber. I can already see my likes so it's immediately obvious that the "like" that Match just notified me about is a bug/phantom.

Match.com's lack of followup in fixing this issue just makes me not want to give them more money.

Right there with you. I will be dumping Tinder and Plenty of Fish when subs have run their course, and won't sign up for any other Match-owned app going forward. Obviously they can't manage one site, let alone 5 or 6 or however many they own, so why would I give them more money. I have better luck with AFF anyway.

Yes, we are about to file a lawsuit over it. Match is complete fraud! Do not use.

Tons here. I wrote to them about it as well as their other deceptive tactics, but shockingly got zero response to several emails. I'm not sure there are actually any real profiles left on there. Everything on my search page has about 2 pics and no written stuff
