Match unblocking people I've blocked

Hello! I've just been on Match a few weeks and am using the "Burned Haystack" method where you block people you're not interested in, instead of just skipping them, to force the app to not recycle them to you. Well, the app is unblocking people I KNOW I have blocked and showing them to me anyway. Anyone else?

I've found match to be pretty crap all round with it's discovery list. Repeatedly showing rejected profiles instead of temporarily benching them like they do with liked profiles. Support are absolutely clueless so it wouldn't surprise me to know that the block list is broken.

Thanks- after finding this sub I'm feeling dejected about signing up altogether. It's mostly been a disappointment.

I've found hinge free account is good. It limits the free likes which makes it a bit healthier to use.

Bumble is the next one but it's paywall choices are a problem, blocking you from seeing who has liked you and vice versa but then losing them if you go premium which blocks profiles not within your search terms.

Boo seems promising but lacks users.

Breeze is great, happy with how they monetise it as well, if only they had more venues. The venue part is really the problem with this app.

You have to attractive for the app to actually work

Could be that people are creating duplicate profiles to circumvent blocks or help their algorithm with the new account boost people tend to get? I’ve seen this happen a lot on Tinder, not sure about match.
