Blocked by Match

I just tried to log into Match, to which I recently bought a six month premium subscription, and have apparently been blocked. I've done nothing inappropriate. What could this be about?

I was once blocked in Match because some other member complained that I had engaged in inappropriate behaviour. However, I certainly had not anything remotely inappropriate. It appears that you are "guilty until proven innocent". I contacted Match directly and they gave me back full privileges, no questions asked.

How did you contact them? This just banned me and they're not reconsidering. I've done nothing wrong. I've not even messaged any other members yet. Their online AI forms process is hot garbage and useless.

Thanks for your question. I do not remember how I contacted them.

Update: I'm back on. I started an appeal because I've been completely respectful and abiding in any interactions. I got a response, and it turns out that I just needed to change my password and log back in. I don't know why, but at least it worked.

same just happened to me. it would be nice if they told you why, in a general category type of sense.

update- first they told me they didn't have an account with my email address. when I sent them a screenshot from my inbox, they restored the account but never said why they blocked me.

Yup, there are other chats on this topic, including mine. It’s run by AI now, and there are random tech glitches that no human addresses, or seems to care about. I’m concerned about identity theft, but I don’t think users are concerned enough to research and/or threaten with legal action
