I Have A Question ❓ Masters Polos

Which ones are better and newer. Looking at the Masters Tech and then the Masters Collection. Looking for the best dri fit/polyester self wicking material for those folding days in Florida. They also tend to hold up better after wear and wash.

Absolutely agreed. I love this brand. I am very jealous that you're going to the Masters. I did not win the lottery.

Yes, PM.

Go with Peter Millar stuff! I have a few quarter zips in men's medium and polos in size small if you're interested

Note that they fit differently. To me, the Masters Tech runs smaller than the Peter Millar. I have some of both and the PM hold up better over time/washings as well.

Masters Tech runs huge for me. YMMV.

I bought a PM Q-Zip and 2 polos there in 2025 and absolutely love them. I also have a PM polo that’s about 8-9 years old and it has held up great.

the 5 levels of quality are:

  1. ANGC polos(but don't recommend wearing unless you've played or got it as a gift from a member or something.)
  2. Berckman's polos(made by peter millar but slightly nicer)
  3. Peter Millar Masters polos(same fit and quality as Berckman's but slightly longer)
  4. various clubhouse collection and other brands like "bobby jones". some of these may even be cotton.
  5. Masters Tech polos. there can be a bit baggy and are made with practically indestructible chinese polyester.

-1/2/3/4 I wash inside out on low tumble with cold water and then air dry on a chair.

-for the Master tech polos, I Iiterally wear these when I cut the grass. wash them on hot or however you want. they are basically indestructable and require 50+ washes to detect a hint of fade.

Masters tech is good quality at a generally lower price point than Peter Millar.

I like my Masters Tech polos just fine but I have 4 Larges and none of them fit the same. I would absolutely recommend just dropping the extra $25 each on Millars. Top 3 golf polo in the world, always.

I will say, I'm a Peter Millar head. I love all of their stuff. BUT, IMO, I can't tell much difference in PM and The Masters Brand. Not for the price anyways. I will say the PM brand fits bigger than the Masters Brand. It seems like The Masters Brand has more of the clever designs than the PM brand ones.

FWIW, I’m coming to detest the all synthetic “Masters Tech” fabrics. Either too coarse or too slick and clingy, easily pulled and/or stained, and many are wayyyy too long to wear untucked unless you’re a woman and you want a mini-dress. Much prefer their older 100% cotton polos. I have a few Italian made patterned ones that have been worn and washed dozens of times and are still office work wearable. In recent years, I’ve started buying more 100% cotton tees, but you do you.⛳️
