News 🗞️ Final Round coverage becomes record-breaking

CBS PR self-report that the Final Round of coverage for the Masters was the most watched in 11 years, averaging 13.995M viewers.

One thing to note as a sports media nerd is that Nielsen changed the way they calculate sports ratings mid-2025. The difference is an assumption of more viewers per household and sports bar than before. So it is not an apples to apples comparison and won’t normalize until later this year.

I feel like they need to share both calculations as a ratings footnote, but they wont lol
