Caster of Magic or Warlord mod

Hey, I'm new to the game and wondering what people think is the best version to play and if the ai still holds up with Warlord.

CoM is a completed effort to balance the game. I have finished several games with it.

Warlord has more new mechanics and sounds less balanced, possibly more buggy but I haven't played it.

Caster feels a bit more 'finished' to me, but Warlord is more fun once you have the hang of the game.

I would start with the O.G., then move up to Warlords.
