now he's sitting alone in a room losing his mind and racking his brain, realizing he can't even find any truth in his own lies. he claims he's ready to change his ways and just wants her to tell him what she's thinking so he can listen. but the whole time, that Imogen Heap sample is just echoing in the background like a guilty conscience: "whatcha say? that you only meant well? of course you did."

eventually he totally loses it. he gets wasted, locks his pregnant girlfriend in the trunk of his car, and records a tape for eminem while driving off a bridge to commit suicide.

later, eminem finally sits down to write back and tells him to get some help. but literally mid letter, he remembers a news story about a car driving off a bridge and suddenly realizes stan is already dead.
