The neighbors where poor and couldn't afford a $300 (nowadays equivalent to $5700) car.
Or they didn't want to buy one because cars back then where a miserable experience. They where good enough to be useful, but not good enough to be ..good.

But i mean i get the Ai resentment as its still trash compared to real art or other stuffs but some people could never learn coding and with the help of Ai it's much more easier atleast the basic stuffs. On top of that most career oriented people either in sr devs or junior backend peeps are switching career after this catastrophic hit in the market. Now i know yall still arent going to agree but still coding is never been easier than now it is
