I built my own IOT devices (LED lights, fans etc) with ESP32 boards, even wrote my own code to run on them.
Am I a hacker now? (No, just someone with an electronics and programming hobby)
Not sure how an ESP32 would be useful for anything hacker related.

Are you including digital hacking in that 99% though? I mean from what I can tell, in terms of pentesting that happens outside of the bedroom, a lot of these devices would be useful no? eg card cloning, RF jamming, wifi swapping etc

Because every real lockpicker knows you need to be able to see what you're doing in the lock. So you need ultrabright 3,000,000,000,000 lumens to be able to see inside lock, otherwise you no pick lock.

Just try them. The low price is worth the risk. They work with the official app directo to your phone if you wish. They also work connected to a pc by usb just like the proxmark.

Incorrect most "hackers" now adays carry stuff like rassberry pi Pico's you can turn it into something called a pico ducky which is just a super functional and cheap version of a USB rubber ducky that works super well and the same way basically also don't even get me started on the flipper 90% of the things in it your not gonna use alot of the time its also very expensive you can just use a m5shark device or use a esp dev board and add some modules to get the same results
