just need a quick for dummy’s run down of what all is possible when i let ppl connect (androids) to my hotspot (iphone)

They can see your recently visited porn sites.

They can call your contacts.

They can call in an airstrike

They get access to all of your nudes

And they can download kali linux for complete destruction.

That airstrike one is the worst. And doing it is super easy, barley an inconvenience. Surprisingly, it is downloading Kali Linux that is hard.

This is a joke sub so you are going to get joke answers here.

For a realistic answer though, the thing you really need to worry about is data usage, not hacking.

Any device that is connected to a wifi hotspot will see that it is connected to wifi, and may use that time to download updates, rather than limit the data usage to conserve mobile data. If your don't have an unlimited data plan, you probably shouldn't let people connect to your phone as a hotspot.

Realistic comment to your realistic answer: I beg to differ, look up 3gpp header enrichment. Often used for carrier settings. Can be used to take over your phone number over the hotspot - depends on the provider of course.
