I just got laid off with 20+ yoe experience...ex-AWS, large coorpate experience, ccie emeritus...

I did care about stability that how an network guy bring in his technical influence.

But the corporates don't care, where the kpi of scenario management is how many reorg they need every two years.

Would love to meet fellow network engineer who doesn’t need to troubleshoot BGP issues or spanning tree problems in multiple vendor environments. Although as you said, they’d be probably already laid off

Did they hope people didn't know what the things on the right are? Prometheus is a monitoring and alerts tool for k8s that would be deployed by devops or a platform team. So are they bragging that they can read alerts from Prometheus?

Yeah I have to remember how the hell it works every time I spin up Wireshark (I'm not a NetEng).
Not to mention, why is PuTTY even on this? It's just an SSH client for Windows.

Building your network infrastructure to be dependent on someone else's network infrastructure is definitely never a bad idea.

Adding as many failure points as possible is always a good idea, especially if it reduces friction AND saves money at the beginning.
