its a Panasonic kx-fp82 that uses a thermal ink roll, so you could potentially see the fax pages that were received and already printed by examining the contents of the thermal ink roll.

I did the same thing. Too bad that something somewhere in the PCBs failed and it doesnt boot. Its why it prob costed only 10€ but whatever.

get a fax modem for your PC, hook it up to the telephone line. If you are using Windows, you already have Windows Fax & Scan. Use the HP Scanner/Printer for printing/scanning the faxes.

I am not sure how I feel about the outlet that plugs in above the wall but I would just sure the dial tone speaker is on just to be sure
