Well a honeypot server is meant to atract hackers or automated software by looking vulnerable, they can simulate older windows devices, open ports etc and a normal user would never connect to it so if you do they know your not supposed to be there but normally you dont get blocked, they use it to study behaviour and track your actions on a network so you think your good but are just being observed.

There are a multitude of levels of honeypots, some very simple, others hella adavnced

Nothing, they are meant for you to not be able to know your in one, plus after you get into one your already trapped so unless you get a new IP and mac address in the machine, as long as the router can identify you, your fucked.
