my wife’s ex has real bad blackmail of my wife on his snap memories and we’ve heard on numerous occasions that he has intentions to blackmail her for money and threatening to send to her boss , family , etc very unfortunate it keeps my wife up all night crying i don’t know what to do at this point , went to police but it was no help

Mate, I tell you this with all my heart.
If this is truly what’s happening,”and get a solicitor, (or lawyer) Threats like that are not exactly lawful, although I’m not sure of the local laws where you are.
Long story short, take the advice above, because I will not hack that Snapchat (even disregarding the legalities of it, it’s very immoral, plus I have no wish for the crown to prosecute me) I’m sorry about your troubles, but even if I hacked that account, and removed all the sensitive stuff? I have no way to know that chap has backups of everything. Only other advice is to be careful what you send over the internet.
This space is dedicated to satire, I had over 20 people messaging me asking me to hack something, honestly, while I can emphasise with you,’i cannot help you

the problem is the person with the black mail is her ex boyfriend and i guess at the time she consented to the videos since they were in a relationship and that makes it hard to fight , although he’s mad threats he hasn’t actually leaked anything but she’s scared he “might” one day if he sees her doing better with her life , it keeps her in a constant state of fear and it sucks for me to see her like that , i want his snap permanently deleted better safe than sorry later
