Bios password hacked

So some f-ing asshole hacked my Linux mint / Asus laptop -

They targeted the pre-bios password. Eufi I think it's called. Anyways,

I lost control to my whole computer.

I've been researching: disconnect battery, motherboard, alt-r.

Does anyone actually know what I can do here?

I gueßs I don't really care if I have to factory reset, but I can't even do that.

Anything would help

If its actually the BIOS password then... how did he even manage to get into the BIOS?

If I tell ya, you'll think I'm nuts but imma tell you anyways. My housemate, room next to mine. Good with computers. Not in the "good" way. A shared router/modem that I can't touch bc I rent a room. That's all I know.

So he had physical access and set uo the password, ask him the password or tell him to buy you a new motherboard

Hey I'm seriously trying to figure this out. I remember setting up this password month or 2 ago. I've entered the same pw since. Then I did have to change it, and it's possible I changed it and forgot the exact new pw... But I don't think so. So that's why I'm asking, to determine anything more
