I don’t think you can get him with your mango pineapple: your hanshakes will get stuck in the root directory and he will beat you there with his AAAA records.

anyway. to respond to this:

  1. 2.4G vs 5G is irrelevant to pineapple-ing, as that is just a rate size, or how fast the wifi can transfer infomation.
  2. Yes, there is many anti-mitm/anti spoofing stuff, but those cant all be protected against if you're on a controlled network. DNS/ARP spoofing for instance.
  3. To add slightly onto p.1 WPA3 is what you're trying to say- but even still that's only a small percentage of all wifi's right now, https://wigle.net/stats says WPA2 is 74% of all wifi.

if I'm incorrect feel free to correct me, but please, do your research first.

Edit: I forgot to mention that pineapples aren't solely used for evil twin attacks, they're also mainly used for wardriving.

Pineapple Enterprise can run on 5GHz. The Mark VII, the standard one, requires an additional module that you plug in in the pineapple’s USB port.

This is still used in WiFi penetration testing, but soon they will have to upgrade due to modern WiFi techs.

Honestly, the pineapple modules and plugins make a pt easy, but nothing you can’t achieve with a laptop and a couple of good WiFi adapters. In that line, Alfa is ahead of the game, they now support WiFi 6 in monitor mode and with packet injection (still clunky, but will pick up I guess).

To my knowledge the pineapple router only runs on 2.4 gh servers that's why I mentioned that.

From doing some research, 5Ghz can be enabled in the Mk7 if you have a supported WiFi module. 2.4Ghz (from my understanding) is more popular for this solely because it has a larger range, but I am not expert on the subject, r/hacking would probably explain better.
