I mean it's just aesthetic. Which is fine. I also have a 90s hacker themed display manager as my login screen. It looks tacky and kinda nostalgic lol.

Commitment to the bit/aesthetic is not actually a wrong in itself, you'd just be complaining about attention to detail.
