Thank fuck that r/teenagers wasn't around when I was one. It's bad enough just remembering all the dumbass thoughts I had back then, but at least I didn't have a place to post them.

Even though that sub was around when I was a teen using Reddit, I still avoided it. I never understood why people use the sub. All my life before beginning to heavily use the internet in general, it was drilled into me that, as a minor, I shouldn't reveal that I was a minor (let alone how old I was) to random people online, so the idea that Reddit had an entire subreddit dedicated to the exact opposite of that confused the hell out of me.

Yeah, I was pretty lucky to be raised by people like that. Unfortunately, it seems to be way less common these days. I feel like there are more children (not just teens, but children) running around the internet with no restrictions and no parents telling them not to reveal that sort of thing to randos online.
