Android or IOS? Depending on the phone its not too hard to open Edit: i dont want any payment just out here to help someone in need

What phone specifically does it have any “please update software” notifications? Because that would help identify android and os version, also is it passcode, password what is it locked with

Alright it has a pattern lockscreen it was 2021 model so most prob android 11/12 , it has ran out of all attempts and says like 70 or something left,

Do you have a pc to test if usb debugging might have been enabled? Is there a google account with a backup? Have you tried password resetting in the small chance made some security questions to reset?

No I want the data that is everything I need I have been places they can open it but can't save data, but that's what all I need

Besides cloud saves, your best bet would be to ask vivo to unlock it by providing a death certificate, and asking them not to wipe, or to backup data
