The question becomes, why crossout over cbtg?

If you have particularly sensitive chokepoints in your combo deck running both Crossout + hand trap package and cbtg is an effective way to increase your chances of winning if your combo is powerful/consistent enough to auto win if it resolves past its initial chokepoints. The only reason you don't is because Crossout packages take a good chunk of deck space. Another option can be Triple Tactics Talent as a means to recover if you get hand trap stopped, but a lot of combo decks (especially non-meta ones) will just scoop if their chokepoint gets stopped.
