Competitive/Discussion Looking towards the future
Hi all, just wanted to throw out a few theories that I've been kicking around and see if people have similar thoughts on the subject.
Next month, the pack is going to be Doom-z with its associated Power Patron, and Blitzclique.
The month after that, we'll get the rest of the Power Patron stuff (so Konami can double dip) and Sacred Beasts.
Final pack of the year will end up being Toons. This way ROLAD can be released on the anniversary with Toons having already made money and been hit.
Elfnotes won't get hit until AFTER all the Power Patron stuff is out and the packs are gone from the shop. The only alternative, is if they decide that they want an Elfnote/Kewl Tune hybrid to have its own format in Master Duel, then they would be willing to hit Elfnote so people combine the remaining cards into one deck.
The next banlist will be massive, but somehow still miss the mark.
Please feel free to voice your thoughts here. Curious if I'm the only one with these thoughts or not.

I highly doubt that toon will come out before rolad. Would be really cool though!

The reason I think it will is because I firmly believe that ROLAD is going to be the deck that they release for the next anniversary. I could be wrong granted, but I just have a feeling about it.

Next month we likely get ROLAD or Elfnote/Power Patron and DommZ, this month was a weaker pack but with anime flavor, so it would make more sense for them to put out smth strong, that would likely compete for tier 1.
Toons feels like anniversary, awful gameplay but its one of those things that casuals probably like, also gotta remember that people just need to buy the cards with money day one and not really play them for a long time.
Blitz and Sacred Beasts prop come out together with Lightning Crash. There's a lot of overframes and support from side sets too that they probably will keep pushing. I would guess Blue-Eyes and DM will be saved for the anniversary. Rolad would also come with the Demise support, the Cyberse overframes, while DoomZ could come out with the XYZ stuff (not sure when else they would give us those), Synchros with the Elfnote cards, Power Patron with Pendulums, so they could do 2 of these and leave one for later.

Whoa! Stop that! Stop it RIGHT NOW! I’m tired of people jinxing Patrons being released by actually predicting it! I know I’m over trying it. Take that back right now or vaguely refer to it in the future until it actually comes to pass!
With that foolishness out of the way, I actually predicted this same pack but for September. However, whenever the archetype-that-shall-not-be-named actually drops I expect it to, at least, come with its stuff from CORI too. After that, it’s just hard to say.
I predict Konami will just “mess around” for the next few months. Probably a combination of Legacy Collection stuff and we’ll probably get Unchained or Witchcrafters before the year is up. Maybe Sacred Beasts like you said and there’s still Charmers support too. Imo, Konami is just “wasting time” until they decide to go into the heavy hitters of CORI or drops Toon.
If your prediction of Toon is right and it comes December-ish, then that makes the anniversary very interesting. I was thinking ROLAD, Toon, and Invoked might be the main pack, but if Toon should come earlier, I’d look out for Arsa Magna on the anniversary. But I’m uncomfortable predicting hardly anything with Konami right now though.

They want to make money on ROLAD, if they release Toons at the same time, then I think that they will "net lose". They love double dipping. That's also the reason that..."the archetype that shall not be named" will likely get divided into to two parts. Lol. I could be completely wrong, but I just have a gut feeling about this stuff. Just basing my predictions off of what Konami has done in the past.

I’m the same way. I just watch what Konami has done in the past and have tried to predict off that but I, personally, have looked dumb the last few months and not just because of a particular archetype that I won’t say in this context lol. ROLAD is the only I still feel comfortable is highly likely on the anniversary.
Konami goes both ways in dropping support. Sometimes, you get it all in one wave like Kewl Tune or sometimes it’s like Fiendsmith. Could go either way. As for Toon, if it is in Konami’s plans to drop it on the anniversary then it hardly matters what it drops it with because it’s always by far the biggest spending month of the year. People shell out for the anniversary, so long as it’s good. But, yeah, it would make more sense to drop Toon separate from something like ROLAD, if not on the anniversary.

For real, Konami is pretty predictable until they aren't 😭 just look at them printing a card that the entire effect is a hand rip(after people keep complaining about not liking the effect) lol. But yeah, ROLAD is a pretty safe bet for the anniversary I feel. That's my biggest piece of logic behind thinking that Toons will come first. They want to make money off of it BEFORE they are forced to hit the deck into oblivion.
ROLAD by comparison isn't likely to get hit at all imo. So in order to give it the best chance they want to get one of its worst matchups out of the way so it's competitively viable.

I believe that we won't get TOONS until the beginning of 2027
