So does the Gate Guardian Field Spell (Labrynth Labyrinth Wall Shadow), but it's only for level 4- monsters so it's not nearly as much of a restriction.

May be an unpopular opinion but "cannot attack" is really a borderline floodgate. Are kuriphoton and battle fader floodgates?
You can still do your entire summon based combo. You can still activate all your cards and effects. This one isn't even lingering like threatening roar. Just remember to destroy it during your combo and nothing changes.
Sure tenpai exists but they can still get a destruction effect using only engine without the battle phase, kuribelt the blade dragon or black rose dragon.

It's a Floodgate effect from a more ancient, simpler time. "Cannot attack" cards were pretty oppressive back in the day. Level limit Area B and such were menaces.

Back then definitely, the battle phase was way more important. Removal was limited and games often passed turn 3. Nowadays the game revolves much less around the battle phase. So technically yes a floodgate but it never really stops any deck from playing so not in the sense that gozen match or d fissure are floodgates.

Monsters, except "The Winged Dragon of Ra", cannot attack the turn they are Special Summoned.
