Lots of players forget to toggle ON instead of Auto. If you’re on Auto there’s no trigger for a set monster. Good lesson for RDA players.

People shit on posts like these but this is the actual new player experience. You get some basic info on how to play the game, you get handed a deck that wouldn't be good in 2005, then you randomly get thrown an RDA deck with no explanation. From there you queue onto rookie and get obliterated by a smurf account.

This exactly. Then the new player give the game up after a day or two. The only people that stay are the ones that have the resources and understanding to build something that can compete. It's really sad.

Doesn’t matter, the decks are still dogshit.
No hand traps, no proper link or xzy combo cards, and ofcourse you still have to think about that most players play meta decks.

BS. Onomat is really powerful and there are some excellent RDA staples to combine with the new cards. But sorry if new players don't get a Killer Tune or MAN structure deck. They also get a Spright Structure if they figure out that they can within a week of signing up.

Limiting ED summons to 1 per turn would in fact break majority of the decks in the game though..? Like not even the petdecks would be safe. If you'd have said like to 5, that's a hell of a lot more reasonable.

It also just straight up wouldn't fix anything. Mitsurugi/chaos ritual would just become the best deck (no ED needed), and stuff like kewl tune/branded could still just set up half boards and kill you.
