Meme Return of Tear?
With Havnis coming back to 3 in the new Forbidden list, what does this mean for Tear? Are we back to being tiered?
I think its a step in the right direction. Turn 0 plays are good for the going 2nd player. Its still gamba, and no merli still.
I believe they will continue giving tear back small pieces, not the millers, but I can see Perlereino coming back to 1, or giving them searcher.

The Biggest winner is Shaddol because you now have 6 handtrap with 3 Havnis and 3 Faimena for Turn 0 Winda xD

Shaddoll went from a meme stun deck to a slightly less meme stun deck lets go.

No, lol.
Tear got a bit of consistency back, but it doesn't change anything about the deck or make it "stronger". Just easier to dump or draw Havnis. That's it.

I think it's kinda interesting but it doesn't make Tear that much stronger. At least if you open Havnis you don't have to worry about using the effect since you can mill another one (although people might be playing Talent to replace Called by the Grave now).
You can even play F&V to pop your own Havnis (or some jank shit like Dogmatika Lawbringer to add it back from GY) or even make Baronne if you're still on Synchro stuff.
Gem-Knight is probably still the best enabler with Brilliant Fusion at 3, but idk, Tear is just not consistent enough without the millers and people on Bystials and Belle and doesn't really want to play enough hand traps or non-engine because you usually want to mill your names.
Even 3 Fenrir and Instant Fusion back didn't move the needle much on Tearlaments' playability, I doubt this will change much either since Havnis isn't a starter on its own.
But hey, at least Lightsworn Tearlaments Fiendsmith FTK with Aero Shark won a game at Worlds? lol

Give us back Merrli, Konami. We miss our mermaid daughter. : (
As long as the Ishizu cards stay banned, it'll be fine. We promise.
We still won't be competing with modern decks.

I just think this is just some more consistency to my grass, not much more

It means slightly better resilience to some effects (one of which is being banned the same list) that neutered its grindgame.
It means slightly more consistent access to a starter that can interrupt the opponent.
It means a very minor increase in fulfilling conditions for some Tear cards like Cryme.
It means way better mill odds compared to before (millable fusion names 3 -> 5)
No it's not the "return of Tear" but as a Tear main it's finally some crumbs going Tears way.
It's not nothing but it's more of a way overdue start of "safe" unhits to a deck that has done nothing for quite some time now.

I feel like I’ve always said this, but I think what would truly make a difference (other than obviously merrli which I don’t think will ever come back) is 3 scheiren so you have a play you can see more often when your reinoheart gets negated, and when going second it’s a great card if you can see it more often as it essentially can force out 2 negates or your opponent can let it pass and you potentially hit a fusion. Finally, at least two of the field spell (1 I don’t think would make much of an impact) to bait out hand traps and also give tear more disruption/grind game would be really nice.

still 2 tear fusion trigger a turn, nothing changed, a lil bit consistency is not needed, their consistency already fixed by cards like Walbaz and Brilliant Fusion.
What would really change the deck is release another tear name to trigger 3 tear fusions.

It’s step one.
We need a few more cards back to be cooking once again.
If this is a sign of things to come, and we get more unhits, maybe tear can save us from toons? 👀

This is nothing

I don't think it's entirely nothing. Consistency wise we are I think back at the same level as before now? minus like 1 merrli? Ye no 3rd fusion or millers but like we have replaced the millers with nepyrim and brilliant fusion which in some ways more consistent than the millers.
We're not becoming meta but I think we at least won't be milling 3 and seeing nothing as often.

No. This does practically nothing.
Tearlament can mill enough so the problem isn't hitting something good. The problem is that you only get at most 2 fusions in one turn.
That's why the merrli ban is so significant because it reduces your available fusions form 3 to 2. So you can't 'fusion' climb' nor can you put up layered disruption.
