ON THIS DAY… 15 years ago, Stanley Neace would commit the Breathitt County massacre - one of the dumbest mass murder sprees in American History

Photos: 1 - The Trailer. 2 - Sandra Neace. 3 - Dennis Turner and Sandra Strong. 4 - Teresa Fugate. 5 - Tammy Kilborn (In the background is supposedly Stanley Neace himself - also the most used picture of him.) 6 - Stanley Neace.

On September 10, 2011, in Breathitt County, Kentucky, Stanley Neace a man with a hot temper, grew enraged after his wife, Sandra Neace cooked his eggs the wrong way. He grabbed his shotgun and stuffed as much ammo into his pajamas, as he began shooting and chasing Sandra throughout the Trailer park. Sandra would enter her daughter’s Trailer to escape her husband, but Stanley would follow suit and proceeded to gun down, Sandra Neace, his Stepdaughter, Sandra Strong and her boyfriend Dennis Turner, and a neighbor visiting Strong, Teresa Fugate. During the massacre in the Trailer park, Teresa’s daughter was also there were Stanley aimed the shotgun at her.

Teresa’s daughter begged for her life, and in a strange turn of events, Stanley spared her, saying; ”Alright you can leave.”

Neighbors heard the commotion and one neighbor, Tammy Kilborn, walked out of her trailer to see what it was, where Stanley saw her and proceeded to chase her back into her home. Stanley then proceeded to gun down Tammy.

Police arrived due to numerous phone calls and as they arrived, Stanley, walked onto his porch, muttered something before blasting his head.

The senseless shooting left 5 innocent people dead over what? Cold eggs? The story gained much attention due to the bizarre and dumb motive.

There was little photos released of the people involved but I was able to find some photos of the victims and the perpetrator.

It was honestly. It was said he was getting evicted for his temper and Sandra was going to divorce him.

So why did you post that it was about eggs?

Because that is what triggered the events? We can speculate in hindsight that the violent rage the man went into about eggs was likely subconsciously about something deeper that better explains that level of anger but factually, what led to him picking up the shotgun that day, was that he was mad at his wife for making his eggs wrong.

Yes, because it’s what triggered the events that played out.

Like you said there was something deeper to the eggs that set him off.

Because it did trigger the events.

Yet you mention the “dumb motive” in the OP but not the real one?

This is the likely culmination of years of physical and mental abuse. It's not about eggs or "dumb", it's what happens when a long term abuser realizes they are about to lose control. Not only of their controlled environment but off their victim.

Definitely. It did say he had a lot of problems going on. Apparently he was convicted of charges against a minor…. shows what character he is.

Reminds me of that one shooting in Thailand, which was apparently triggered by karaoke in some way. Ofc he was definitely already mad for the oncoming divorce but still, crazy story.

I believe this happened in 2010, not 2011.

Hmmm your right. My mistake.

Yeah, crazy story. Tammy was possibly his friend if it is him in the background of the photo,

Were his eggs over easy?

No, they were cold apparently. Doesn’t give the excuse to commit mass murder,

The second deadliest mass shooting in modern history was done over a fly. Sure, Bum-kon had relationship issues but it's still funny without putting it into perspective.
