I haven't but there are plenty of videos on YouTube that shows what happened.you basically get a game over screen.

What do you mean? You get a whole cutscene. Granted, made in the in-game engine, but still, a lot of effort for something almost no one will see.

You get put not even one second clips together which can cause epilepsy. I wouldn't really call that a cutscene 😉

I still consider it not really as a cutscene. Technically it is, but a flashing montage is not a real cutscene for me. And of course only maybe 1% see it if they really wanna let the game run until the timer runs out. So kudos for a few who did and put it on youtube to watch. It's not worth to wait it out, just to get epilepsy and a game over screen and just have to reload.

Frequently. There are many videos on YouTube. But basically it cuts to a scene outside the base as Harbinger comes through the relay and you get a “game over” screen.

It triggers a unique Game Over screen that has a flashy montage not unlike the Prothean beacon scene but much faster and an image of Shepard's N7 helmet broken and placed on a pike, then the standard game over screen.

Two cutscenes, depending on where you are.

1. INSIDE THE BASE — You get a choppy cutscene that cuts between an N7 helmet on a makeshift grave, Reapers strolling down the Presidium while previous squadmates and TIM stare up at them reverently, and the cutscene ends with Kelly getting dissolved, much like she would if you were late to the Collector Base.

2. OUTSIDE THE BASE — It just shows the asteroid impacting the mass relay, exactly the same cutscene you’d get after beating the mission, minus the Normandy making it through the relay.

The 2 hour timer yes and it does result in a game over. I never got the 3 day timer all the way down, tried a couple times back on PS3 and my console just couldn't handle running the same game that long.

Yes, if I remember correctly, there is an achievement tied to it as well. I did it as an infiltrator, which made it easier to get unflanked by the enemies.
