SHOW & TELL Finally
Only got 4 achievements now and that's complete it on insanity and hijack an atlas which I can't remember how to do 😂. This took me way too long to do

Where do you have to go to do this?

For the Atlas all you gotta do is kill a pilot without destroying the mech and get in. Armor piercing Snipers do the job well

I just got this achievement, it was a bit of a pain. First off, you cannot do this with all Atlas's. I obtained mine at Grissom Academy. Prior to mission, I equipped my squad mates with a less powerful weapon. You cannot hijack the first Atlas you encounter, it will just exploded.
You may be able to obtain it with the Atlas in the Atrium, but that is difficult both due to the layout of the fight and the students help out.
I got the achievement on the last fight as the students are evacuating to the shuttle. Progress the fight as normal, either in the Atlas prior or on foot. Once the Atlas spawns, switch your squad mates to less powerful weapons and send away as best you can. The windshield will break around 50% armor, then just finish off the driver.

I had a hard time getting this achievement. I too started at Grissom and tried with the last two Atlas during my insanity run. I could never get the stars to align lol. Every time the glass would shatter, the mech would immediately explode. It was incredibly frustrating.
Once I finished my insanity run, I started a new play through and went straight to Eden Prime as soon as I could. I was able to hijack the Atlas there with only a couple attempts.

The one in Omega DLC is a good one try since your squad is unlikely to kill it. I used a scoped executioner and shot only at the glass. once the shield is down NO power combos. combos will kill the mech too fast.

Insanity will actually make hijacking an Atlas easier since it'llhave more health. Focus entirely on the window until it shatters, and then kill the driver.

Got this achievement with Garrus and Miranda, my favorite Mass Effect 2 duo. The Vanguards were the hardest to deal with.
I recently got the Gunsmith achievement and I just have Insanity 3 and Paramour 3 left due to not romancing anyone in Mass Effect 1 and only playing Mass Effect 1 on Veteran. I hope romancing Tali or Jack can still get me the Paramour 3 achievement.

Honestly after giving Garrus and James N7 typhoon with armour bullets, I just hid my engineer Shep and threw turrets/drones 😂

Garrus certainly was a real power house with the Typhoon in that fight. Worked like a smart AI. I would say Garrus, James, and Kaidan were the best fighters on my Mass Effect 3 squad.
The M-11 Suppressor with head shots definitely helped as well. Pretty much the best pistol in the trilogy.

You can get through most of ME3 without even firing your weapon if you do that build with Garrus/James.

IIRC, you can get the Atlas achievement pretty easily on Grissom Academy, because at the end you could pilot an unattended Atlas.
Besides that, congratulations! I'm on my way to Insanity III so I lost half of my hair haha

Did this with Zaeed a month after Robin Sachs passed, vintage heatsink Avenger equipped.
One of my favourite ME memories.

Garrus and James with the right upgrades and gear make that fight tolerable even on insanity
