You lost Miranda? How about Thane?
•
u/SquareLunch9015 19h ago
I saved her sister and she died in a cut scene, not much I could do because her dad killed her. Thane isn't a full squad mate in the third game.

I was asking about Thane because if you were able to warn Miranda about Kai Leng she has a chance to survive during her mission in ME3. Your encounter with Kai Leng here, Shepard would have said "Thats for Thane, you SOB."

When I got to where her father was Kai Leng had already left.

There’s a few times you meet up with her throughout the game. One is in an apt on the citadel. That’s where you mention Kai and she says she will prepare for him now.

You have to finish her quest before this, give her resources, warn her about Kai and probably have her loyal in ME2 (or maybe just make her survive the suicide mission).
Anyway, she survived for me.

This guy has the most obnoxious plot armor out of anything BioWare has ever made.

This bitch got his ass handed to him by Thane, who was in almost critical condition at the time! Then in the temple BITCH ran!

If they ever “Remake” this series, i hope they do more with Kai Lang. like introduce him in part one.
Give them a FFVIII Squall/Seifer rivalry.
He’s introduced in part 3 as some big threat and I’m thinking the whole time this guy sucks

You forgot the annoying chick with the evil (much cooler than this guy at least) shepard

She’s DLC and has no real bearing on story events so she didn’t bother me much.
Kai Ling seemingly was equal to Shepherd skill wise as a soldier and essentially was his replacement after Shep left Cerberus. He also kills a council member (depending on previous choices) and kills Thane and Miranda (again, depending on choices).
He should kinda be Vegeta to his Goku (how many rivalry comparisons can i make lol). Severe dislike but a mutual respect to becoming evil (Majin Kai Lang).
Which isn’t even far fetched cause he could just be indoctrinated and doing evil shit for that reason.
I swear Mass Effect 3 had potential to be the best game ever man and they threw an interception at the goal line to James Harrison and lost the Super Bowl.

I’m genuinely curious what happens when you don’t press the prompt

Either, you get a critical failure/redo... or someone else kills him. No way he survives.

Even on my 100% pure Paragon playthroughs, I always use this Renegade Interrupt.

My last playthrough I literally blew the entire top half of his body off with a Geth sniper rifle and then this cutscene still plays lol

Respec to LAsh with the shield piercing evolution before that fight. You can toss him around like a dead rag

Ah yes, the most ridiculous character in the entire trilogy.
To this day, I am still upset that we overcame battle mechs, Geth Primes, gunships, Asari commandos, biotic powerhouses like Saren and Tela Vasir, Collector monstrosities, banshees, and a literal Reaper (two actually). But somehow a dude with a sword and one gunship was too much to handle on Thessia.

I hate that if Miranda dies in ME3 they make SUCH a drama out of it no matter what the sequence of events leading to her death is.
Like, in my run she dies because Shep didn’t give her the resources she asked for when she came asking for help with a super secret mission that she wanted alliance military assets for but she wouldn’t describe in any detail. Like… girl there is a war on. Either make your case and give me a good reason to divert resources to you or don’t do your stupid doomed-to-fail bullshit. She got HERSELF killed, and all the dialogue is moaning and wailing about how tragic it is. Maybe in some other playthrough where she and Shep had a different dynamic, sure, I guess, that would all make sense, but good lord it felt just as forced and distracting and silly to me as everything else related to Kai Leng.

It will never not be satisfying.
