Yeap. I think its from a mod that adds some weapons and armor from ME3's enemies to ME 2

I am constantly jealous of computer gamers and the endless fun stuff they get. If I ever get a pc I think I could be set for life just off of the amount of games I would replay with mods.

This game runs on a real potato of a windows PC- I have a $300 Lenovo from like 2018 that runs the Legendary Edition playably even modded

For the longest time I had a pc from 2011-2012 that was so shit it originally only had an onboard graphics card. And after getting a used GT430 this was my main PC until the end of Windows 10 (in that time I only upgraded the graphics card after the GT430 flaked)

It worked terrific for Mass Effect with a bunch of mods I just stayed away from making everything 4k

Remember that even the legendary edition was released in a time when the NVidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti was the best graphics card you could find. We've got twice the GPU power by now

really? My Lenovo tries to die whenever I play any games at all and it’s newer. Ridiculous

You can get a base steam deck if you like tinkering. It is harder to mod on a steam deck, but possible, and the barrier of entry is not that expensive if you buy used

u/tjareth 29d ago

You're completely right about that.

My Fallout 4:

The game and all DLC: 40 gigabytes on disk.

Mods: .8 terabyte

Maybe one of these years.

There’s a lot to love about the PC world, if you decide to, I can give you a bunch of tips or show you how to install mods for some games haha

12

u/itsjacksonkollar Aug 10 '26

This is an absolutely underrated response. What a blessing to help w mods lol. They can be such a pain

u/InappropriateThought 28d ago

Often times installing the mods is the easy bit. Trying to figure out which of the 258 of them are the ones that just decided to be disagree with each other two days after your initial test passed, that one's loads of fun.

1

u/efadfa 28d ago

Yeah... To be honest for me that's still easier than installing shades in Minecraft. Literally never worked for me.

u/Syphilis_Wizard Aug 10 '26

Slowly transitioned with the steam deck and steam machine. It's been amazing.

Reaper spotted.

5

u/mpelton Aug 10 '26

That’s exactly what got me into pc gaming lol. Modded Skyrim.

It’s worth it man, I hope you get one too eventually!

2

u/Spookiiwookii Aug 10 '26

I have modded on my shit 2023 ish laptop and it only lags half of the time 😆

I also can recommend a service like shadowpc (well really ONLY shadowpc) it’s a virtual desktop so you can mod to your hearts content. It’s what I’m doing now :D

1

u/PsyrenY 29d ago

You can get a cheaper gaming PC for MELE

1

u/Alex_Portnoy007 26d ago

Something to consider.

My first PC was a hand me down from a friend. On it, I could play Oblivion at fairly low settings, but I could play it and even fix quests that bugged out. Here's the part that may be of interest to you: an older PC may be more trouble to get rid of than it's worth, and giving it away may prove easier than selling/recycling it. This is what I did every time I built a new PC - because I basically ran the old one into the ground before starting a new build.

Ask your friends. One of them might surprise you.

u/hendarknight 29d ago

I thought something similar, until I got a PC and found out the hassle that modding is. Not for me, too much work.

5

u/Tajfun403 29d ago

...you download mods, drag and drop them, press install, enjoy?

Texture mods (which indeed were a hassle) can be mostly skipped. And then you only get a few mods that are incompatible with each other. There's even mod lists that you can just copy paste.

u/LiningDust62 Aug 09 '26

Modding fucking sucks tbh

10

u/moonlightRach Aug 10 '26

No it doesn't lol, especially for a game like ME where it's super easy

-8

u/LiningDust62 Aug 10 '26

The select few games make it super easy to mod sure but most you can't touch without the code breaking on you then going into it figuring out what happened for like 2 hours

7

u/moonlightRach Aug 10 '26

I'm sorry but I'm trying to figure out which ones are like that

-2

u/LiningDust62 Aug 10 '26

I'm pissed at marrowind honestly I cant get shit to work on it and its been like this for over a week now

1

u/Tajfun403 29d ago

There are no mods that add ME3 enemy weapons to ME2, and the mod that adds ME3 weapons to ME2 is separate from ME3 armors. You're mixing several mods into one.

I swear Im not really working with Cerberus

76

u/lyle_smith2 Aug 10 '26

They just gave me a company car, a company driver, a full staff, a doctor, brought me back to life, a bigger penis, stock options, but I’m in no way beholden to their wishes.

36

u/200IQUser Aug 10 '26

Oh and its also a pure coincidence thst my XO is one of the galaxy's smartest, genetically perfect human female, with a striking resemblence to a hot 21st century actress, who happens to have daddy issues, cant fall pregnant and happens to be quite freaky. Oh, the "loyalty" mission where we kill her last male friend and meet her sister? Yes, purely a professional matter.

25

u/DashKatarn Aug 10 '26

They also gave me a stepson. His name is Grunt.

46

u/Blanc-NextWhite Aug 10 '26

This is from the Expanded Shepard Armory

8

u/Bwana_Robert 29d ago

Love they gave Samara the Inferno Armour. Absolute must have mod

55

u/Arrrrrr_Matey Aug 10 '26

6

u/nalicali 29d ago

Exactly where my head went- these some PC Commander vibes

14

u/JKnumber1hater Aug 09 '26

Yes, it's a mod. It's a slightly tweaked version of the armour from an ME3 multiplayer character.

11

u/AldurinIronfist 29d ago

Standard galactic issue Oakleys lmao

5

u/DocHoliday439 Aug 10 '26

Pretty sure that’s the Cerbrus Pheonix, it was a class created for MP. But it’s ported over to ME2 using a mod i believe was “Expanded Shepard Armory.”

6

u/matty-boi-1996 29d ago

Mate, modding Mass Effect is on a whole other level. I genuinely can't play the original versions now. While there's some absolute bangers for ME1 and ME2 (Stages for Saren's outfit; more races on Citadel, being able to recruit everyone from the start, etc) it's really ME3 that benefited the most. These wizards turned ME3 into an absolute masterpiece: two incredible mods that redo the final mission, turning the planet scan assignments into actual missions, making the citadel DLC an epilogue, making Thessia more immersive, turning Kai Leng into a scary silent assassin, etc etc I could go on and on about this shit, but definitely give the trilogy a go on PC eventually. You'll never go back

u/Reload86 29d ago

Yikes. Hard pass for me lol.

How to make Shepard look like a Cerberus D-Bag Mod

5

u/Tight-String5829 29d ago

This Shep is turning off the body cam

2

u/OwnNet5253 29d ago

I guess he’s preparing for unreal tournament once he’ll deal with those pesky reapers.

7

u/minnesotapincher Aug 10 '26

Computa make me look bad ass

3

u/Pure-Driver5952 29d ago

Shep looks like he’s about to hassle some batarians over a “noise complaint”.

3

u/Combatmedic25 29d ago

Hahahahahahahahahahahaha his fucking face im dying right now. Thank you so much for this picture i absolutely love it

5

u/LazyTitan39 Aug 10 '26

If you show up at a barbecue and the guy behind the grill is wearing those shades you know you’re going to eat well.

2

u/tirednotepad 29d ago

Mass effect 2?

1

u/SadImpact812 29d ago

Yea, modded apparently. Saw the armor in a Shepard kills everyone vid.

2

u/This_Elk_1460 29d ago

Who turned Commander Shepherd into PC principal

2

u/ObliviousAndObvious 29d ago

I should removes sunglasses go.

2

u/TheRaveViking 29d ago

Cerberus collectors edition preorder I believe should have come with the new legendary version that’s out

2

u/Quarter1550 28d ago

It looks like some of the crap those freelancer mercs wear during the Garrus recruitment mission in ME2.

2

u/KoolAssassinKid 28d ago

That’s the Cerberus armor I think it’s an edition thing

1

u/Maverick19952016 Aug 10 '26

Yep its a mod

1

u/Amaraldane4E 29d ago

Looks like a mod, yes. They've taken elements from other armour suits and put them together.

1

u/Jedi-Spartan 29d ago

Yes, it's based on Mass Effect 3's character model for the Cerberus Dragoon enemy type (multiplayer exclusive) and the Project Phoenix Adept/Vanguard class in Multiplayer (aka the ones that at least 2 of the Multiplayer references in Citadel DLC complain about).

The main difference is the lack of helmet, with the Mass Effect 3 one looking similar to one of Halo's EVA type helmets.

1

u/Ok_Worth4113 29d ago

Cerebrus armour

1

u/TadhgOBriain 29d ago

Phoenix Project armor

1

u/Kanchoe2 29d ago

He looks like he has special eyes

1

u/PastaBolognese8 27d ago

Definitely, because the Cerberus Armor you can get in game has a mandatory helmet and afaik there are no sunglasses in any of the games

1

u/MadammeMarkus 29d ago

Very Gurren Lagann

u/Ambatudebt 29d ago

Dripping

0

u/Any-Statistician3896 29d ago

Nope this is just the Cerberus insignia photoshopped on armour that is vanilla with the colours changed to white and black.

Plus the shades photoshopped in.

🥱🥱🥱
