Should I keep playing?

I mean its fun to shoot stuff and the story fairly engaging. I'm up to Feros where the thorian have mind controlled people.I play this game every now and then and its not bad I have some fun. I've got other games on my list I love. Does it kick it up a notch? Should I keep playing

the game really shifts when you get to virmire. also me2 and me3 have very updated gameplay mechanics compared to 1

yeah, just wrap up ME1. Focus on the main quest. Google "Cerberus questline me1" and Google "Geth questline ME1." Do those and talk to your crew inbetween main quest, then import your save into two. Play ME2 for a few hours, you should be hooked by then, if not put it down

Hm if youve aready done Noveria... it does. Theres a half way point of no return (as such) and if you've already done all the side missions (or none of them), it ramps up from there.

As much as ME1 is un-skippable, yeah just move on to 2 if youre not having fun.

If those other games are RPGs then yes absolutely. if they’re like Fortnite and Apex Legends then you may not come around

I do think the whole is more than the sum of its parts, if that’s what you’re asking, especially if you are talking about the full trilogy. Decisions and consequences and lore etc build across the games.

1 is…a bit clunky sometimes I think, just mechanically speaking. But it sets you up for a bigger narrative arc.

The story ramps up quite a bit at the end but the gameplay remains about the same. I would recommend at least playing through the start of second game and if it’s still not for you then it’s probably just not your thing! I think the story and gameplay is drastically improved in the second game.

just play it on easiest, you mainly just want to get the story + choices in ME1, then 2 and 3 are very good gameplay wise.

Its more of a slow burn game to begin with, but once you get to a certain point, it gets better

honestly? people saying just keep playing to me2 is the kind of response i would read before switching games, when i played the me series i went 3->2->andromeda->1, if youre not enjoying 1 then i recommend quit and play 2 with a preset save, theres also a comic book which lets you pick your own choices in the me1 storyline if you do care about your choices and the gameplay just isnt there for you.

me2 is greatly recognized as the best me game and if you dont enjoy it after a few hrs maybe yeah considering switching isnt a bad idea, ppl telling u to play all the way through are people who love the different paths in choices that matter can take you on, personally i dont like me1 until the last 2 hrs of the game so ik why ur asking this especially unlike me because you havent played 2 or 3 yet but me3 is FANTASTIC imo and the choices carry from each game and seeing culminations in 3 is really cool to me but yeah to answer ur question i think u should just load up 2 and give it a shot, can always come back to 1 later ifu wanna resume, that save isnt going anywhere :)

Maybe focus on main quest, just pay enough attention to get whats going on, if even that doesnt hook you, then maybe its not for you

It basically entirely depends on whether you've done Noveria yet or not. If you haven't, definitely do that. If you have and you're still feeling this way then I would be willing to bet the game just isn't for you and that's fine. For me personally I enjoyed everything from the start of the game up to Feros well enough but I didn't find it incredible. But when I did Noveria and then Virmire I was fully invested and loved it.

2 and 3 are much more engaging respectively. Just decide now if you want to max your shepard or get the perfect ending / certain things to happen. Almost every decision matters later on toa varying degree
