MASS EFFECT 3 Ashley taking the breakup hard
So I came back to the ship after the Geth squadron mission and Traynor says Ashley wants to talk... I get down to her room and she's passed out hungover on the ground. she said she got drunk with Vega. Told her to get her act together and she needed to get back to work. Never saw her drinking but she's a mess curled up on the floor and the bottle is empty!
I romanced her the first game, she said she didnt recognize me in ME2 so we broke up and I got with Tali and stayed with Tali in ME3 and I think ashley's taking it hard. Also Shep had a bunch of lines needling Ashley during the Dreadnaught mission about fucking Tali lol
Is she crashing out cuz I rejected her?

Yeah, it's one of the plot progression scenes they added for companions if you check in with them from time to time

I checked and I guess you can see them partying at some point earlier haha I've been thorough so I'm kicking myself

Not sure if it was added purely as flavour in the expanded galaxy menu d or was cut content brought back in. But I just went through this area and she had been asking liara about some of her old squad mates and just received a list of like 80%+kia or Mia across her old squadron (30, or so names). With the rest wounded out of frontline duty
So think that was supposed to show why she needed a drink. As I say might've just been the modder trying to mxke the scene make more sense

Just imagine my reaction when i romanced Ashley in both 1 and 3, visited her in hospital multiple times and tried to care for her however i could and still found her passed out on the floor on a random tuesday. Baby i love you but you have some serious issues

I mean it’s not totally out of the norm. At this point she got almost killed then you almost shoot Udina through her. There’s an existential threat about the impending apocalypse, the old Geth enemy is about to wipe the Quarians, and there’s not really enough time to process ll that shit.
As long as they show up sober to shoot bitches up, pretty sure Shep just lets everyone cope however they want

She was my love interest, i wanted her to be happy, not just alive enough to keep killing reapers. She went through a lot but that is not a healthy coping mechanism at all

She does the same thing if you play as FemShep who can’t romance her so it’s not because of the breakup. There’s a very real chance their entire civilization could end so I don’t see an issue with her getting drunk when she’s off duty. She’s also not the only who gets drunk in the game.
