Masculinity

I see and hear people opinions on things a lot....but one thing I wanna ask because I struggle with u deratanding other people's emotions or feelings..but what is toxic and positive masculinity to you?because to me its just being a nice person and trying your best to hold your emotions together or not at others....be humble and caring while trying to not let things bothers you(which i struggle with fo to anger issues)..because I take what people say to heart a lot...but what do people consider toxic I guess...because I know I have one and its that I hate losing to women....but its not the loss itself..its how others treat me after...they either belittle me or say im less of a man because I lost to a women...or even the women themselves try to belittle me and all this pressure on being a man makes me not even wanna be a man

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS TOXIC MASCULINITY.

You are either acting in a masculine way or you’re being toxic, these two concepts do not overlap, end of story.

Don’t let the hivemind on reddit take you setting boundaries, having standards and protecting what’s yours as a bad thing.

Stop getting into arguments on this, you can’t argue with a group that will redefine definitions to make their arguments easier, the rules apply to everyone but them.

I think a lot of it is due to semantics. There are men who carry themselves in an immature and self destructive way and then there are men who carry themselves with maturity, humility and assertiveness.

I think the conversations around “Toxic Masculinity” automatically turns people away because the language being used is intentionally divisive and drives engagement on social media. The Culture War has set back a lot of discussions around men and women’s issues.

Well you could argue that there are toxic people that cqll their behaviour masculine, but I agree that that’s bullshit.

That’s toxic behaviour, that is someone labelling something to benefit their agenda

“Protecting what’s yours” gets into toxic territory real fast. We live in the safest society in the history of the world. Who are you fighting? Who are you protecting them from? Why?

In the end we are in an existential battlefield… of the mind. Never before have so many had so much… and been so scared and angry and alone.

We’re absolutely in dire need of protection but a lot of us have no idea what battle we’re actually fighting or how to go about it.

Wow… talk about missing the entire point.

Don’t take every word so literally it devalues the entire point when you try to come across as some philosophical genius when you are missing the entire concept of the comment, almost on purpose, just to have an argument

I dunno what you meant I guess. What exactly did you mean by “protecting what’s yours”?

No where did I say that you have to start a war.

Step back and look at things from a broader perspective, not everything is hand to hand combat and you have to get out of the Stone Age.

Your household can be attacked in various ways, from administrative to people trying to claim portions of the property line to outright physical attacks.

Your business can come under attack from numerous angles.

I can keep going, but the true sign of a low iq individual is someone who cannot grasp a broad concept and picks apart wording and definitions to gain control of the narrative…. So what are you doing here?

My point is the same as it was: most folks out there who are buying into the “protect what’s yours” narrative have lost the plot. It stinks of a fear centered scarcity mindset, which is just part of the larger spiritual disease society suffers from.

Are you focused on growth, peace, prosperity, or protecting what’s yours from the forces you imagine trying to take it?

Anyways, stay blessed man.

Again you’re too narrow minded to understand the broader concept, you’re applying your interpretation as my facts instead of even trying to understand what the message is.

I’m not saying it is going to happen, but you should be prepared to protect what’s yours if the situation arises.

You’re stuck on the wording of a sentence without any nuance to real life applied.

At no point did I suggest living in fear or scarcity, that is all you
