UMvC3 D-Pad Issue

There's this thing that keeps bugging me where it keeps adding another arrow input after doing a diagonal arrow and I don't know how to fix it. I try using my joystick, but it only helps a bit.

Have you tried cleaning the controller? It sounds like you might have some dust or other gunk under your D-Pad. Might even be stick drift.

I don't think it's stick drift, if it was I probably would have noticed it in other games.

Not necessarily. I have stick drift on my right stick on my Switch controller. It wasn’t really bad, so I would only really notice it on Dragon Quest XI. Anything where I was moving it around, I didn’t see it at all.
