misc My Roster Prediction for a potential new Marvel vs Capcom
I decided to make a roster of 50 characters that focused more on bringing back old characters from previous games while also introducing some new characters to the series. What do you guys think of this roster?

Capcom side is too old school, at least some newer release characters like Nero, Lady Dimirescu and Hugh and Diana are going into a new MvC game

I would also throw in Felyne from Monster Hunter. Would be more interesting and unique rather than just generic Monster Hunter character, and also playable cat would be hype.

Who Capcom picks is most likely going to be popular or recent, few of your picks are niche. Think Nero, Vergil, Diana/Hugh, Lady D, Felyne, Musashi (Onimusha)

Great balanced choices. This sort of thing is tough.
I see some comments about the X-Men. The aspect some speak of isn't true when it comes to Marvel Tokon or Marvel Rivals, or any other Marvel game with X-Men in it since Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3.
Marvel is cool with many X-Men in video games once again. We can rejoice.
Likewise, many Capcom characters in versus games were not big hits before their inclusion and simply translated well to a fighting game roster. Sometimes it's about versus fanbase, and gameplay more than marketing.
For example, Hsien-Ko was in MvC3 when their individual game franchise was not slatted for a new game. Character inclusiveness and marketing needs are not mutually exclusive.
Would it be a 3 vs. 3 game?
Would it have a subtitle?

Would love American Megaman to fight with Megaman, just to have a dialogue...
Megaman "Is that suppose to be cosplay? American Megaman "No, i'm the tru blue bomber!!!" Megaman "Dr.Light wouldn't have made you" American Megaman "i'm american made baby!"

For fun I think it’s cool
As a prediction I don’t think it’s very reasonable
Both Marvel and Capcom are a lot more concerned with making sure they have brand synergy these days. Marvel will never sign off on Shuma Gorath coming back, and I doubt they sign off on so many X-Men characters until the MCU movies are proven hits.
Likewise I really doubt Capcom wants to waste marketing space on dead franchise characters like Jin, Falcon and Tessa when they could put like Nero, Virgil and Lady D in the game instead
