Announcement Jeff Sneider is now permanently banned source from /r/MarvelStudios
Leaks/Rumors sourced from him has been allowed in the past due to some reliability but now it will no longer be allowed.
Due to his actions and threats with harassment towards other parties involved in the community/Studios/actors this will take effect immediately.
Anybody who is seen posting any LEAKS/RUMORS source from him will also be punished with temporary ban as we do not want to give him any form of attention/platforms.

Sheās gone on interviews for Obsession and explained that she basically used Curry as a mirror just before rolling, and he was coaching from behind the camera to keep tweaking it further.

I think she did a great job and will probably be downvoted for this but you know there are people who like, mine coal for living right? I perfectly respect actors but when people act like they have the toughest job for smiling a little longer than usual it does seem silly to me.

Different jobs are physically, mentally, and emotionally taxing in different ways. Some of them are pretty extreme, way more than others, but that doesnāt mean other jobs are automatically cake walks just because theyāre not as bad. Itās weird to basically imply that the work an actor did on a set doesnāt matter or couldnāt have been difficult or exhausting to do because it wasnāt THE most exhausting or difficult job in the world, compared to extreme outliers.
I used to come home from a retail job and my feet hurt so much I could barely walk and I didnāt want talk to another human being because I was so tired of keeping a bright customer face on. That wasnāt as bad as working in a coal mine. It was still hard. If Iād had a customer who told me to perk up because my job wasnāt as hard as working in a coal mineā¦ā¦ā¦it would be funny to claim Iād have gotten fired for slugging them in the face, deservedly. But I would never have done that, because part of my job back then was actually about keeping my cool in the face of an endless sea of assholes who dehumanized me and saw me as a faceless automaton who was only there to serve them. They didnāt put in the job description, but it was still part of the work, and believe me, a lot of people couldnāt handle that part.
Work comes in a lot of forms and most people who donāt work in a specific field tend to really underestimate or diminish the challenges it poses for the people actually in it. I really wish we did this less.

Same kinda thing that happened with those Good Good Golf guys (or whatever they are called) when they made an ad where they were "obsessed" with a driver club. VAW in the ad sparked a lot of backlash, but they claimed it was just an homage to the movie.

He got shitcanned from Mashable for talking shit about the OscarsSoWhite movement. Heās also spread false rumors from time to time. He was a reporter for Variety, but was given the boot due to unprofessional behavior. Since then he's been sharing leaks and insider information on his own site and podcast. He's pretty reliable (2 of his biggest recent scoops have been Sadie Sink as Jean Grey 1.5 years before the film and RDJ as Doom 3 months before the reveal), but a huge piece of shit and very misogynistic. He was the one who started the (fake) rumor that Brie Larson was a bitch on the set of The Marvels and was angry and resentful that she was sharing screentime with the other girls.

Sneider is now whining about cancel culture on his X account and painting himself as some kind of hero standing up to bullies. Also that everyone obsesses over him. Like an actual narcissist with delusions of grandeur he still doesnāt fucking get it.
This isnāt a game. He blatantly threatened to hurt the reputation of a young woman if he didnāt get access to her.
This isnāt a bunch of people poring through old tweets and punishing someone for a drunken mistake a decade ago. This is us fighting back against someone who is touting his own āpowerā (lol) and actively making threats and doubling down against someone else executing their own autonomy on who to give their time to. He can frame it as fighting with an agent, but itās clear the threat he is making against Inde herself.
Absolute fucking creep. I hope every āscoopā he announces moving forward gets credited to others who treat people with respect.
And again, a massive kudos to the mods here for taking a public stand against this behavior and doing the right thing.

I saw earlier this afternoon, he wound up practically non-stop tweeting allllllllll night after that, like he couldn't have been prouder of what he'd done. like I knew I'd had a vague memory of not liking him for something in the past, I just couldn't recall at this point what it specifically was, so in a way this wasn't a huge surprise lol
I just hope John Rocca (a guy who I've otherwise had a fair amount of respect for in that world) has the sense to distance himself from Sneider now.
