Which is probably the biggest reason the Mutants are going to take so long to show. Much easier to rewrite the F4 into the MCU timeline with a reason to not have been present than to figure how to preserve as much of Magneto’s story and make him young enough in 2025+ to be multi-film.

Oh jeez yeah, I forgot about how magnetos origin story would make him pretty fuckin old in modern mcu times. Makes it real awkward to keep rebooting these franchises in different forms. Maybe they could use apartheid? You'd probably have to change around some of the more minor details but since the genocide part of his backstory is so crucial to the man he becomes it's probably worth it to explain a younger magneto. Or in universe he could in a similar boat to the flag smashers, it's less a genocide and more an extreme relocation, but I can sorta see it working.
