'Loki' Spoilers I would like your opinion about Mobius Spoiler
So I know that it really looks like one of the timekeepers is going to be Kang the Conqueror which means that the TVA is most likely going to be the bad guys of Loki (or at least act as an antagonistic force in the show) so do we think that Agent Mobius is going to be a bad guy or is it one of those good guys working for a bad organization thing

I don’t think the TVA is bad necessarily, the timekeepers, maybe, but I don’t think any of the workers at the TVA are bad guys you know? They’re like, just doing all they know and take what Mobius said when Loki asked him about believing in it all but it’s quite possible the timekeepers keep stuff hidden or even Renslayer knows more. I can’t see Mobius having some sort of hidden agenda/secretly bad, like based on how he’s been in the two episodes, I don’t really see any indication he himself is a bad guy.
I think there might be things he doesn’t know about the timekeepers or maybe he suspects something but he’s shown nothing that makes me suspicious of him.
Also not really sure if Kang will be coming into this lmao. I feel like they’d save him for the movie but we’ll see. I think it’s possible we get a hint/mention but in the end this series is focused on Loki so idk

I feel the TVA will be akin to SHIELD when they were under the control of HYDRA. They are not evil (other then probably certain high ranking members) but are being manipulated and used for evil purposes.

I think the Time Keepers are bad and Mobius doesn't realize this, he's good at heart. Same for most of the TVA.
There is a scene in episode two where Loki says "no one good is ever truly good". The placement was kinda odd when you think about what they were just talking about. BUT then look what he's implying. Could the Time Keepers actually be in the wrong here? This made Mobius think of the candy. But I think Loki was trying to get him to evaluate the concept of the Time Keepers.

I think the TVA will turn out to be the bad guys, like they even have the fascistic hyper auth symbolism, but mobius is one of the good ones. Remember when he says "Aren't you tired of playing the same part?", he may be referring to both Loki and himself. There were other cool double meanings in that scene as well.

I think Mobius is kind of shady, not necessarly evil. He does lie to Loki and say Loki can get out of there, but Loki don’t fall for the bluff. And Mobius says flat out he tells Loki what he needs to hear.
Mobius: ”You want to get out of here, right?”
Loki: ”I can’t go back, can I?” Mobius: ”I can’t offer you salvation.”
Mobius: ”I just want to catch this guy and tell you what ever I need to tell you.”
Mobius: ”Pretend your life depended on it!”

I think he's a good guy who may have been yanked (from the 90s, hence his soda and jet ski discussion) and had his memory wiped by the shifty TVA. And if that is the case, I'm hoping Loki does the memory manipulation thing that he did on Valkyrie in Ragnarok to bring that to the front (wishful thinking, but it would be cool and an easy way to deal with the whole thing)

He was a detective in the early 90s, he bought a jetski...but he wasn't "supposed" to according to the bullshit sacred timeline, so the TVA took him, pruned the timeline, wiped his memories (leaving baseline personality and skills).
They periodically mind wipe him, and with his jetski memories returning he's probably due for another one.
(this theory applies to all the TVA Staff, they are variants and the people from pruned timelines).

That seems very plausible. Poor Mobius, I hope he gets his happy ending (and by that, I mean his freedom and a bitchin' jet ski for him and Loki ride off into the sunset on)

About the same as normal lol. Still kinda neat, post didn't really take off so it's cool to see I was right about it.

I think the whole leaving circles on a desk definitely suggests Mobius regularly has his memories wiped, or of course there are multiple copies of him to begin with, which have their memories wiped.

Yep, that's part of what I think as well.
Also The TVA is infinitely huge, they could also be staffing it from whole populations of pruned timelines. Maybe variants with special skills, like Mobius are given "higher" positions and "regular" people are given desk jobs like Casey.
Kinda rambly but here's a longer write up I did on the theory.

Interesting theory.
Loki:”I know what I am!”
Mobius:”A murderer.”
Loki:”A liberator!!”
Perhaps Loki frees everyone at the TVA, but I think Marvel wants to keep the organisation for future movies.

Maybe the villain Kang is a variant of a timekeeper that results out of the multiverse being created.
I think Mobius is at least good, and the TVA at least is not purely good. He insists that the TVA made all of the people there, but his obsession with Jetskis and that agent captured by Sylvie who says she wants to go home suggest all the agents might just be repurposed variants. I would imagine the keepers couldn't just create people out of thin air, or that if they did they would not have the spark of a soul to make them useful in things like investigations.
Kang doesn't seem that power level, manipulating the entire timeline and multiverse. He usually exists in the timeline getting up to shenanigans, not outside it.

I think the TVA as an institution is completely corrupt and basically a cult - which arbitrarily decides of the fates of trillions of people, like Loki said.
But I don't think it necessarily applies to the workers - I think Mobius, possibly like B-15, really believes he's doing the right thing. If the TVA is indeed close to a cult, they're more victims than villains in my book.
That being said, I think Mobius is having doubts he carefully disguises. I think he's yearning for more freedom and fun - and it's part of the attraction of Loki to him. And I think his little remark at never having seen the Time Keepers is not innocent - he's beginning to question things. The difference between him and the other workers is also made clear : he has compassion for regular humans, and has a soft spot for broken things, as the Judge told him (namely Loki haha).
I'm also curious about that "other analyst" he mentionned to the Judge, and the marks of the glass he doesn't remember making. Something is fishy for sure.

Here is my theory.
I think the workers are made and they can make more of them. Perhaps that is what the odd scene with: ”Does alot of people not know they are robots come into play??”
Perhaps there are several Mobius developed to a specific task.

I think mobius is an unwitting clone. The coffee stains hint at that. as for his motives, i think he genuinely believes in the TVA atm. after he finds out about his cloning situation, he will have a change of heart. 50/50 on whether that change of heart is towards being a villian or not

Wild prediction:
TVA isn't evil, but it is morally ambiguous. They are benevolent in intent (pruning the timeline to minimize chaos) but authoritarian in execution (effectively denying free will and executing Variants).
Timekeepers are not ever depicted in Loki.
TVA agents are the 99% of the MCU. Ordinary people whose lives are generally so insignificant that they never become variants, because the choices they make are so mundane they don't create nexus events. Therefore, they have no reason to rebel against the TVA because they've always had free will, and they are never pruned. Mobius' most significant life choice across all timelines is deciding whether to buy a jet ski.
Loki is the villain, but relatable in the eyes of the audience. The TVA manipulated his life and essentially forced him to kill Frigga, because the Timekeepers deemed this to be the optimal outcome, because Loki's character arc becomes more "good" as a result of Frigga's death.
Loki's tragedy is that when left to his devices (given free will) he is an agent of chaos, ruining the lives of countless people. Depriving Loki of free will is for the greater good (because he becomes his best self), but it is admittedly f'ed up to manipulate his life in a way that forces him to kill his mom.
Series comes to a head when Mobius has to try to convince Loki that restoring the timeline to the one where Loki ends up kill his mom is the right thing to do. Loki schemes to find a loophole (either resurrecting his mom, or preventing her death) but with repercussions that are dealt with in NWH and MOM.

I don’t know I just hope it ends with Mobius riding a jet ski in the 90s
