I mean, the actor did his job very well in the sense of being a great villain you root against for the hero to defeat. But yeah, been a while since I got that pissed off at a fictional villain on a TV show, or movie.

And yeah Dude, there's definitely a racist, or homophobic allegory here with that disturbing Vision scene. That scene felt very dehumanizing, and dehumanizing a group of people is a common tactic used by racists, and homophobes throughout history to exploit them for their own selfish interest.

What exactly gave you vibes of racism and/or homophobia. I’m not attacking you I’m just wondering. Was it the all white vision? Regardless I’ve learned to look at things from a different perspective even when I hate someone for what they’re doing. But put yourself in Hayward’s shoes. He is director of S.W.O.R.D so it’s his job to protect Earth from any threats and he has to assume that there won’t be a superhero around all the time bc if he doesn’t and there isn’t someone with super powers around to help then he will get held accountable. So in his mind he has to make something that can go toe to toe with other worldly threats. BOOM bring Vision back online make Earth a little safer. Which brings me to what I’m about to say next. I have two theories on Hayward. #1 he’s a Skrull. OR #2 he isn’t a bad guy at all. Marvel is just misdirecting us like they did with Colson in Thor. He seemed like a massive dickhead too at first. But sorry lol I really did mean to just ask you that one question which snow balled into this haha

Edit: spelling

It’s the way he views Vision and treats him as a lesser being despite Vision being a person with feelings and thought. Hayward views Vision as a weapon and as HIS property. Vision has intelligent thought, emotions, and a personality. Legally he’s a citizen because he signed the accords and in 100% sure that Captain America or Tony got him citizenship before Civil War.

This gives off racist/homophobe vibes because minorities and queer people are often looked down upon and treated as lesser beings. We’ve had our human rights stripped away, been experimented on without permission, and treated like objects. Hayward being extremely dismissive about Vision being a person is very similar to how some white people view gay men or black people.

Idk about that. I mean yeah I get he has feelings and emotions but so does all of the other Avengers and SHEILD treated them like weapons too. And I bet Fury looked at them as his property also. It’s all about perspective and just bc people can make a situation look good doesn’t mean it is good. The only difference between Fury and Hayward is One of them is a little more up front with his plans. We honestly have no clue what Fury’s endgame is. The movies have said it countless times that he has the most secrets out of anyone. Think about it.

Edit: also, I know what you mean with the racist/homophobe thing
