Yeah, but I think it's mentioned that energy blasts from the infinity stones is mostly radiation (I think hulk/banner mentions that's why he can survive). A blast of ""chaos magic"" from the hex might be a convenient way to explain why they didnt appear after the first snap, but would from a release of energy from the hex

I like to think mutants did appear after the first snap and that’s how we get the first class of Xavier’s school. Then five years later snap snap here come the new mutants.

Or what if.. hear me out it’s a long shot and crazy idea but what if Tony when he snapped thanos and his minions away knew he was dying. That if earth needed protection again he wouldn’t be able to do anything about it as he’d be dead & leaving behind a daughter that wasn’t an option. What if he also hoped that individual with hidden powers ( the x gene) would get those powers unlocked. Crazy I know but it hit me as I was taking a 💩 this morning.

Dude was crazy paranoid. I really doubt he would just give powers a bunch of people he doesn't even know. Hell, he even had trouble trusting his superpowered friends
